So.....has anybody of you heard about that Logan Paul thing?

If you're familiar with this Vine Trend you might as well be familiar with Logan Paul. Now, if defending a rapist (King Bach) wasn't bad enough, Logan Paul decided to vlog from the suicide forrest in Japan. Ever heard of this forrest? People get in there to kill themselves.

So he was vlogging his trip and, during the whole video was like: "This is all fun ya'll". No that's not a direct quote, but, it's pretty much what he was trying to say. Yeah Logan, vlogging from a forrest where people kill themselves is so much fun.

Him and his dumbass friend went in there and they really found a dead body from a man who hung himself. And what did Logan Paul do? He didn't call the cops, he started laughing and didn't stop filming the body.

While he recieved some backlash there are a lot of people who actually defend him, saying things like: "All ya'll haters are trying is to put him down" and: "Dead people got no rights," Or: "It's not that bad, don't be such pussys."

So, I was taught to respect everyone, even the dead. And I got some questions guys. First of all: "What the fuck is wrong with this guy, going into the forrest and filming a dead body while laughing like someone told the greatest joke ever."

But what really pissed me off, were the reactions from many, many people. Seriously Just try to imagine it's your Dad, Mom, brother, sister, cousin, granny, grandpa, auntie, somebody films their dead body and shows it to the world, way before your family even recieves the news that their dead. And on top of that, he's laughing at their dead body. Seems not so funny anymore, right?

The last question is: What happened to the world, that people started to laugh at a man who hung himself. How dumb, coldhearted and fucked up do you have to be to degrade this lost soul? This man was probably so lonely that he didn't see any light, and these fuckers don't even take their time to think about the pain he felt and about the pain his family feels right now.

It's so disgusting, and Logan, if by chance, you're reading this, I don't give a shit about your excuses, you didn't raise awereness for suicide, you don't have to exploit a dead body to make it real. I really, sincerely, hope that YouTube will delete your account, you are really a disgrace for our kind. If I could, I'd personally fly you over to his family and let everyone smack the shit out of your head.

You're the embodiment of a privileged rich kid who's lost touch with reality. But, I believe Karma's gonna fuck you back in the ass, dry.

Read about it, yes. These lines from an The Atlantic article stuck out for me.

.

"We stuck a smartphone in every 14-year-old’s hand and told them it could make them famous. Little wonder that the kids who won that lottery don’t know when to turn the camera off. Little wonder that before the backlash, Paul’s video was going viral. The internet’s only currency is attention."

Nope not heard of him. I will soon I'm sure. I guess he got the attention he wanted if the video is going viral. Means many people want to watch it. Not my thing. I think it's called de-sensitizing, the more you are introduced to that kind of stuff the less sensitive you become to it. But I'm not into psychology so there is probably more to it than that.

Your naivety is more mind-boggeling than the shit this guy did...
The shit he did and does isn't something new or incidental, it happens and has happened every single day by the same fucked up species... Only difference nowadays is camera -> Youtube...
It's sad that only just now people get all bent out of shape when some random person does something off putting to them only because it's screened to a larger public and feel the need to post cliche shit about respect and "what if it was someone you knew" blah-di-blah and then even end that shit with bullshit "Karma" mumbo-jumbo... Nothing will happen and everything will stay exactly as is with just more viewers...

I'm not entirely sure what you mean with "Nothing will happen and everything will stay exactly as is with just more viewers...", but assuming that I understand it correctly - I don't think so. The audience and money that modern technology can get you of course can change behaviour, on an individual level and in general.

Sure, it can... But it won't...
Humans will always find a way to carry out their abhorred behaviour, be it with an audience or not... The average humanbeing has become too stupid to evolve and/or use common sense simply because their fetishes create instant gratification... And that's all right once you accept that it's standard human behaviour... So why make a fuss about shit no one will care about in a couple of days? Same with that #Metoo bullshit... Great way to sell T-shirts and other #Metoo merch...

You don't think #metoo should happen and/or has the potential to bring positive change? Anyway, I think I'm a little more optimistic (just a little) about our ability to learn. And wring behaviour should be called out wether or not "no one will care about it in a couple of days".

It won't make a scintilla of difference. Especially if it sends a message that women can't handle their business and need to be "protected" from men.

Example: All the women who have gotten offended because a man hit on them, but took "no" for an answer - and categorized that as a #me, too moment. Expressing a romantic or sexual interest in another adult human is not a crime. Not interested? Say, "no thanks" and keep it moving. AND - be responsible for yourself and stay out of troublesome situations.

Let's be clear - I am not talking about someone putting his hands on a woman in a manner that would be categorized as a sexual assault. I'm talking about Mr. "Hey, Baby" - or the guy who whistles from a construction site. That ain't #me, too - but an awful lot of women think it qualifies.

And as long as we conflate the two, we'll continue moving back instead of forward.

I mean if he did have sex he would break every rule Jehova's have regarding premarital sex so Prince is really just friends with them all anyway.

That #Metoo bullshit is just that... These harassed men and women are all whiny now only because they see the potential for (more) money to be made by opening up...
They should have opened up at the moment it happened... But no, throw money at them or threaten their "carreer" and they clam up instead of warning other future and potential victims... Fuck 'em... They get 0 sympathy from me...
This will only make these "predators" more careful and hide their shit better... This will only bring "positive" change to the wallets of the big names...

i think the #metoo movement will bring about huge change for the better. women are now feeling more empowered to speak up about illegal behavior and shine a light on misconduct. the political climate in the US seems to have changed to one in which this conduct will not be tolerated. i'm not talking about women 'asking men to protect them from predators', women have always done that and it never worked. i'm talking about the internal change being experienced by women in the US who have watched this entire mess unfold and are seeing a new way to address these crimes, new possibilities for the future in a world less tolerant of sexual abuse.

but, wtf does ANY of this have to do with aokigahara and paul logan? are we still talking about the thread topic?

Whistling is harassment and needs to be illegal. Same thing as shouting at someone on the sidewalk while you drive by. You can say hello to women without being so aggressive.

Go live in North Korea.

It causes depression and anxiety in many women, and causes a lot of them to feel unsafe in public. So fuck anyone that thinks it's ok.

You don't think #metoo should happen and/or has the potential to bring positive change? Anyway, I think I'm a little more optimistic (just a little) about our ability to learn. And wring behaviour should be called out wether or not "no one will care about it in a couple of days".

Neversin.

I think you're just looking at a part of what (you think) it is and how it started. I also don't think that most men can understand or are trying to understand how it can be for women in everyday life, at work etc.

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

You go live there and tell us how it is, eh? Oh I forgot you ain't got a damn right over there. And by the way, are you a woman? If so, it's even more fucked up for you to write this. How about we let every woman decide what she finds offensive? And I wouldn't find it great to get whistled at everyday, because these guys think of women as an object. Just a pussy to smash. That's what they think.

Dude - take your meds. And then learn the difference between finding something offensive - and making it illegal. I suggest starting with the Bill of Rights - the first one, in particular.

I mean if he did have sex he would break every rule Jehova's have regarding premarital sex so Prince is really just friends with them all anyway.

Who said it was okay? There is a big damn difference between finding something offensive and making it illegal. I refer both of you to the Bill of Rights. Unless you live somewhere other than the United States, in which case, find your own applicable source.

And, yes - it is women's "fault" (your word - not mine) that they choose professions that are typically safer, cleaner and more flexible (and thereby, less lucrative) than the unpleasant or dangerous professions often chosen by men. In fact, if you control for type of profession and time on the job (of which women often have less because they have taken time out of the workforce to bear and raise children), the wage gap virtually disappears.

But don't let facts get in your way. It'll take too much time away from your chemtrail analysis.

Uhm, them choosing "professions that are typically safer, cleaner and more flexible" (BTW, what are those) surely does not account for it sufficiently at all. You think women in general have the same chances in worklife has men do? No way.
