I think both words could be used here, but regime sounds better (in British English anyway).

regime = a system or ordered way of doing things.

Exemple in a sentence: Under the new regime, all workers must file a weekly report. He was put on a strict exercise regime.

regimen = a prescribed course of medical treatment, diet, or exercise for the promotion or restoration of health.

Example in a sentence: My dietary plan includes a rigorous regimen based on the consumption of no more than 1,500 calories a day.

I didn´t know he was homophobic and racist.

I do know that he´s committed some terrible hate crimes in the past and he beat up two Asian-Americans before he was famous.

He thinks that praying and regretting and asking for forgiveness is all it takes to redeem himself but I´m not buying it.

Some of his movies are watchable but I don´t like his personality.

And he doesn´t even look THAT buff and muscular considering his tight regimen. I don´t understand Hollywood´s obsession with physicall fitness anyway, and I´m saying that as a person who goes to the gym four times a week and trains very hard.

Magazines spent way too much energy focusing on the diets and workout programs of "actors" such as Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Josh Brolin, Chris Evans etc. etc.

I know the difference between "regime" and "regimen," thanks. rolleyes

The definition most people think of for "regime" - and the first one listed in the Oxford dictionary (which is a lot more authoritative than Google) is, "A government, especially an authoritative one."

Don't roll your eyes at me like that lol . I posted the definitions because I didn't know the difference either (having never heard the word 'regimen' being used before) and I thought others might also be interested in this. I personally have only ever heard 'regime' being used in the context of the posted article.

A woman who has no fewer than three dictionaries on her desk is perfectly justified in rolling her eyes at someone who tries to tell her the meaning of words she knows without even looking them up.

Do you use American English dictionaries? I've heard they are not the same as the English dictionaries we have here in Britain.

Actually anyone working to build their physique or lose weight etc actually will note/schedule when you eat. Scheduled snacks also help you from becoming too hungry before lunch or dinner after lunch etc

.
It is usually the eating on a whim at any time of day or night that get's us 'overweight'

It is also like remembering to take a protein shake within a certain time after a workout. It makes a difference in recovery time and seeing results. People who go to the gym and don't take notes and do the research tend to feel defeated and don't see results after periods of time and give up.

The prep is key.

Dec 27, 2012 - You probably heard one of the basic tenants of getting bigger and stronger: Eat proteinwithin an hour after exercise to fuel muscle growth. It's called protein timing, and the idea behind it is this: Resistance training increases amino acid delivery to muscles as well as absorption.

Mark Wahlberg's "Six Billion Dollar Man" has been taken off Warner Bros. release schedule.

In May, the sci-fi action film was pushed by a year, moving from May 31,2019 to June, 5 2020

The film was set to began shooting this summer.

That grueling, daily workout schedule prepared Mark for a role of a lifetime. disbelief

So would it be ok for you if he beat up one of your relatives, using racist slurs while beating them up, and then say that´s he´s prayed to the lord and asked him for forgiveness? Without doing anything for the victims?

What kind of mentality is that?

Yeah, maybe he´s changed, maybe not, but the Vietnamese guy that he beat up will still have only one eye to live with.

Pretty amazing how people with young children can manage to go to sleep at 7:30pm every night. I hear this often, especially with people who are committed to their health and these types of schedues are especially prominant with men. They go to sleep at 7pm while their wives or girlfriends have to deal with the children for the next 5 hours. lol

And notice how he gets up at 2:30am, does his workout, eats breakfast and prays all while the kids are still asleep. Slick! lol

I respect his dedication and the effort but in all honesty, you don´t really need a schedule like that to have his physique. Four serious workout sessions per week , a healthy diet and enough sleep are all it takes. And a good protein supplement.

come on, you have to be smarter than that

.

he said he takes a shower at 6am

it did not say shower from 6am - 7:30am

How his he golfing at 7:30am if he is still showering until 7:30am?

it is life factoring in that he 1 takes a shower, gets dressed(says goodbye to family, packs food, drives to the golf course) to be there at 7:30am

.

Have you ever scheduled your day?

If I schedule a workout or golf or yoga at 7:30am and then set a snack @ 8am that is just a snack, then you go back to the workout golf or yoga... come on, 1+1+1 = 3

.

Sorry KoolEaze, but trying to make fun of his schedule backfired...
