after calling for killing all white people... so yeah. If you call for genocide of a race or blame TRUMP for the las vegas shooting... you should expect to get some blowback. He might need to be fired.

In fact, if you say anything outrageous you can expect to be called out over it. You call for mass murder and you get threats? cry me a river!

This FOOL said all white people should be murdered gets all mad when someone says should be?

if you believe in so-called "hate crimes" (I do not) if you believe that during a crime if a person calls out for the death of all (identity of the victim) that criminal should face EXTRA time in prison... then this professor should go to prison... it was hate speech.

The professor said the threats began last December after he posted on Twitter: "All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide." He said the tweet was a joke, a "satirical jab at a certain paranoid racist fantasy and that white genocide does not exist."

Replace the word "white" with any other race, and 2freaky would be on "the other side" of this.

IF "hate speech" is a thing, this guy is guilty of it. Now he's crying about the response? GTFOOHWTBS! Hate is hate.

He's free to say (or tweet) offensive, hateful things and he's free to deal with the consequences.

It was stupid for him to use that as a joke, if in fact that was his reason, for making that statement. He should have known there are people who would take it seriously, and others who were just waiting in the wings, for a reason to use a statement like that against him, because of his views, and also for some will use his statement as a form of reverse racism, for their own agenda. But realistically, there is no white genocide happpening by any American group, in this country.

Not selling you out. You know how this country is. Although he made that statement, didn’t mean there is white genocide, because there isn’t any, unless you want to blame heroin, which is what is actually killing many Whites in today’s society, at this time. That professor may have said that as a joke, but you know there are many who will jump like jack rabbits, and not believe he was joking, because they don’t like his views, and he just gave them a ticket to use his statement as their weapon to attack him.

Yes it’s true, Whites are still controlling the power structure in America and fear losing it, but there are also many Whites who don’t like to hear the ugly, history that comes with how that power structure was obtained, nor the hard truths about modern-day injustices, that stem from that ugly history. If someone like that professor points that out, he will draw enemies, just like many of the civil rights activists of the past endured. That professor was already a target to many, so whether he was joking or not, there are many that will use his statement to justify the dislike they already had for him, rather than accept his statement as as a joke.

Well then, at least be honest and call hate, hate, and call racism, racism, even if it's hate and racism that you find acceptable because "white people dominate the power pyramid at this time".

Just admit that hate & racism are unacceptable, unless it's against white people. I won't agree. No sensible person with morals and values will. But, at least you'll be honest about your hypocrisy and double standards.

:fallof: No really, what’s your point? Are you angry because I said there is no white genocide being committed by any non-white group in this country or the fact that it’s slready been stated, that the professor will face the consequences of his comments?

Let’s not forget that those sending death threats to the professor, should face their consequences as well. It’s one thing to not like s persons’ opinions/views, but how is making death threats against him, any different or better than the statement the professor made? Just calm yourself down, and think about that for a minute.

I'm irreverent as they come and I do not like white men in power and I think white people who
lean towards a radical right may be living with some unacknowledged racism, so some of Ciccari-
ello-Maher's political philosophy is understandable.
But, some of those tweets were just down-
right stupid. His righteous indignation towards the power structure in this country in the guise
of satire as some kind of polemicist comes across as being ill-conceived.

Heroin is so passe. The professor should have got a couple piercing and decided maybe that he was gay? Either way the university can't help but feel resposible if they always knew the professor was insane.

It is clear as day that an education doesn't always make someone smarter. Guys like him and even some on this board all they think about is race and right or wrong that is where they are at. I can't imagine people like that trying to go out and interact with different races at the mall or in a park without thinking in terms of "race" because that is all they know.

(1) It is clear as day that an education doesn't always make someone smarter. (2) Guys like him and even some on this board all they think about is race and right or wrong that is where they are at.

(1) True.

(2) People who are living under the yoke of colonialism, even if that yoke is not rendered via slavery
but through purposeful (or, unintentional) marginalization and oppression via social policies meant to
keep people of color at a disadvantage (or, sometimes, these policies can result in distancing people
of color from societal resources unintentionally) are justified in using race as the dominant lens in
which to view all reality. So, if Black people recognize and/or think they continue to be victims
of marginalization and oppression because they are Black, then why shouldn't all they think about is
the fact that they are Black?

Think about it this way:

What if you were a military veteran who lost both legs due to combat so now you utilize a wheelchair
in order to get around. Upon your return to the States, you notice that entries into facilities and
buildings and institutions that are supposed to offer you aid freely and without prejudice or discrimi-
nation are largely inaccessible due to your disabilities. Are you telling me that the veteran, who colors
all of her reality now through her disability and her inability to access resources in society, is wrong to
do so? Of course not! Well, being "Black" is often a "disability" especially in a society that not too
long ago featured a segment that went out of its way to practice segregation and lawful Jim Crow-ism.

and if that vet tweets for the mass murder of all people with full use of their legs ...she can't be too grumpy if she gets the same in return. And if she got fired or was forced to quit her job that is on her. Many of the Jim Crow laws were made to treat one person differently based on race... to give this professor a pass for his hate speech because of reasons... but not give any such leeway to the ones that reacted in kind seems to have that Jim Crow vibe to it as well...

Like I said: Ciccariello-Maher's tweets were stupid and ill-conceived. But, if you think I was suggest-
ing that we give him a pass for stupid and ill-conceived tweets because we may share some political
ideologies then you seriously need to re-read my posts for it wouldn't be the first time in recent

memory where their contents and intentions went right over your head!
