Was he? He facilitated putting immigrant kids in cages and separated babies from their parents. I'd say he did a fine job of being evil and bigotted.

New acting attorney general wanted limits on Mueller’s Trump probe

Steve Goldstein

-

The new acting attorney general doesn’t think much of Robert Mueller’s alleged look into President Trump’s finances.

-

Matthew Whitaker, who on Wednesday was named by Trump as acting attorney general after the resignation of Jeff Sessions, spelled out his views in a CNN opinion piece authored just a month before he joined the Justice Department as Session’s chief of staff.

-

“It does not take a lawyer or even a former federal prosecutor like myself to conclude that investigating Donald Trump’s finances or his family’s finances falls completely outside of the realm of his 2016 campaign and allegations that the campaign coordinated with the Russian government or anyone else. That goes beyond the scope of the appointment of the special counsel.” — Matthew Whitaker

-

Not limited the probe, Whitaker argued, would lead to a fishing expedition.

-

Whitaker now will oversee the Mueller investigation, according to published reports, taking over from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

-

Rosenstein oversaw the Mueller investigation because Sessions, to Trump’s oft-expressed dismay, recused himself because he was a member of the president’s campaign.

-

It should be noted that the order authorizing Mueller...ppointment says that the investigation should not just look at any links or coordination between the Russian government and the Trump presidential campaign, but any matters that arise from the investigation.

It won't help. Adam Schiff will have subpoena power and can conduct all the investigations he wants. he can hire anyoen from Mueller's team he wants - even Mueller, should that investigation get canned.

There is no way around this for Trump. He's firing everyone he can, hoping he can obstuct the process long enough so that he leaves office before he or any of his sons aer indicted.

But he will fail.

Yeah, even if he was able to dodge a legal bullet while in office, he'll have the long arm of the law waiting for him as soon as he out of office, (Caveat: That is of course if Mueller doesn't indict him while in office) lol

-

I think the tax returns will be the least of his worries personally. Elijah Cummings already said he'll be coming for them. lol

-

I hope he enjoyed his winnings last night. He'll probably be gloating about it until Kushner, Jr. or himself have to sit down in front of a Grand Jury and testify. (He'll try to write off Stone though)

I doubt we'll see that. But Trump might go broke and have to travel on commerical airlines after he's run from office. I imagine that would be a fate worse than death for him, LOL.

Trump is scared. This morning’s press conference showed he is running scared.

It tips the notion that Muller has some bad stuff against him.

Let’s see what he tries to do to the muller investigation. If someone fires Muller there will be big time consequences for the Orange piece of shit.

But, if he's out of office he won't have the pardon power, so he won't be able to pardon his kiddo's.

Mueller needs to just let it all out.

What consequences? He controls the Senate who even picked up 2 seats, they will do whatever Trumpsky tells them to do.

He is in a foul, foul mood today. If I were the press I'd start refusing to go to any press conferences and just let there be an empty room. They don't have to put up with this shit.

But then only Fox News will show up and we will not know what he is really saying - which is never what Fox news reports.

I didn't say he was useful and I stand by what I said. Useless implies he did not do anything effective - he did plenty of fucked up shit that was useful to your bigoted president, his administration and his racist following.
