Neither the Rainbow Children or Musicology were inspired by Manuela. There may have been a song or two written with her in mind. I always found it strange she did not inspire him nearly as much as other women that have come into his life. He made no mention of her in the acknowledgments for the albums you list.

I would just never associate any of that with Manuela.

There is only one person.

The Black Muse.

Damaris Lewis is not The Black Muse. She is to The Black Muse as Julia Roberts is to Erin Brockovich. She played The Black Muse in photographs and live shows but SHE IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT THE BLACK MUSE.

There is only one person who had a chance to make Prince forget The Black Muse and have a life:

Judith Hill.

Judith Hill did everything a person could do, not by conscious knowing and manipulating or changing who she was to make herself appear to Prince to be like The Black Muse. She did it by just being who she was: super-talented, and able to match Prince in musical ability, being a genuine person who preferred Prince to others that took The Black Muse away. And while seeming to be least like The Black Muse in appearance is actually more evocative of The Black Muse than anyone else not only by appearance but also by background and by the experiences she had prior to meeting Prince. It's almost as if God sent her to Prince just at the right moment to give Prince everthing he wanted in a woman and a clear choice in exercising his free will. She even pulled him back from the brink of death to give him a second chance to reconsider his decision to choose The Black Muse. She had and did it all. Still, it wasn't enough to make him forget The Black Muse.

Almost all Prince music is about The Black Muse.

You should be looking at songs this way: They are about The Black Muse unless you can rule out that they aren't.

U in song titles and lyrics is The Black Muse.

You should also show Judith much love. She did all a person could do and she has suffered greatly for it.

Who is The Black Muse? That is the question.

What comes after U?
