As Sharon Suggested - Pick The Next Two Things That Should Be Released!

In my interview with Sharon Nelson, several members asked her what the next release from The Vault would be. Her response was for his fans to suggest two releases and they will try to comply.

So, here's your chance to effectively have a say in the next two releases of Prince's music or videos or whatever ...

So, c'mon Orgers ... list two!

[NOTE: Any questions about or regarding the Q&A will be deleted]

We alreaday got unreleased stuff from the 80s with the Purple Rain Deluxe release.

I would like to see:
A 21 nights in London compilation DVD/ Blue Ray including various main concerts, aftershows and unreleased footage.

The latest record Prince was working on. I heard something about a Jazz album and/or a live release/ compilation of the Piano & Microphone tour including unreleased footage.

Thank u.

1. Firstly you 'the estate' need to beat the bootleggers, by releasing of boxset of all the studio material currently bootlegged in pristine audio quality- - this would instantly make all bootlegs redundant.

2. then any unheard previously unreleased material can be released in a series.

Let me get in there. The Vault? It's exciting. It's different.

Hee, hee.

1. A DVD/download of the 1983 First Avenue show!

2. The album of songs that Prince was going to release before he decided to do Purple Rain...the mythical follow up to 1999.

I'd like to see some of the completed but unreleased albums released. Perhaps do like the Purple Rain extended edition and include both the complete album along with a second CD of some other tracks not part of an album (and extended versions), but from the same time period.

I do think it woudl be a mistake to start pulling songs from various completed albums and releasing them as Crystal Ball 2. That just diminishes the chances of ever getting the full albums configured the way they were intended.

I'd also love to see the IMAX movie filmed during the Act 2 tour relased on a HDR 4k Blu Ray.

Edit to add: maybe there coudl be a limited run release of this in the actual IMAX theaters.

Had I listed specific albums instead of general concepts of how to do it, these are the exact two albums I was going to list.

1. A DVD of the Piano & Microphone concerts (particularly the first show at Paisley Park on January 21, 2016)

2. In keeping with Prince's forward-looking attitude, I hope the estate will release the last album Prince & NPGQ completed, "Black Is The New Black." According to Adrian Crutchfield, the album was finished and ready to go. Blue Note was even being considered to release it. When Prince was asked in interviews which of his songs was his favorite, his reply was invariably the one he had just finished or "the next one". I think new fans deserve to know who Prince was in 2016, not just who he was from 1984-1991.
